Today is a difficult and unsettling time in the world. The COVID-19 crisis has shaken our country’s core. We are constantly looking to the news for updates and further instructions. What is next? Will our children go back to school? Do we have enough groceries? Social distancing….what in the world is that?!
These are all questions that I have been asking and I am sure you have too. No one in our generation has faced a global pandemic like this…it is definitely uncharted waters.
Before starting my career with Clements Fluids my family was in a bad place. We were “fine” (what we called it). We did not have any major problems, we were just fine. After spending several years with my work family, I could see that the leaders and long-time employees did not stress the little things. They had this joy that was difficult to describe. Why was it so easy for some of them to turn everything over to God? I didn’t trust anyone!
God had a purpose for me getting a job at Clements Fluids as an admin assistant. He used the CF family to break down the thick walls I had built around my heart for so many years. Nothing was every forced, fake or insincere. About three years ago I finally allowed Jesus to have full control over my life! It wasn’t easy for me to let go of past pain, regret and to forgive the wrongs done to me. When I look back at it now, it was so simple for Him to take all of that from me. I was the one making it difficult!
We are going through one of the strongest storms we have ever faced as a company. The health scare, the economy struggle and the panic of the unknown. Our Heavenly Father knows, this is not unknown to Him. This is simply a season of change that we are going through. He has prepared each of us to make it out on the other side of this storm. We have to turn over our fear, panic, anxiety…all of our heart to Him.
Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
Our lives may look completely different after we weather this storm, but know that God has prepared each of us for this season. Hug your family a little tighter, play games together, read bedtime stories, spend actual quality time with one another.
Don’t let the panic and fear overwhelm you, allow Jesus to take that. We are put on this earth to love one another, bless one another, and lead people to His glory.
Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own!
