I read a couple of verses in my morning devotion and wanted to share them with you as leaders of Clements Fluids.
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.””
Zephaniah 3:17 NIV
As you go about your day at Clements Fluids, I want to inspire you to use these verses in how you coach and lead your people.
Below are a few practical steps to help you accomplish this…
1) Pray for your team
My mom and dad start their morning off each day by praying for the employees of Clements Fluids. They have done this since I was a little girl. In turn, Chase and I pray over you guys each and every day. We pray for your families, your protection, and for the Lord’s favor to be upon you in every thing you do. I want to encourage you to do the same for your team.
2) Let them know that you care
How are you supposed to know what to pray for if you don’t ask? The definition of empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. The ability to recognize and share the feelings of others is what differentiates a good leader from a great one. It is the tool that inspires and motivates people to believe and in turn trust someone. Take some time to get to know your team, personally.
3) Let them know their value is not dependent upon their performance
This seems like an oxi-moron, however, the verse above from Zephaniah is a very important truth. The underlying message is that God loves us just as we are. That is an incredibly freeing concept and is honestly hard for me to grasp at times. God’s love for us comes with NO STRINGS ATTACHED.
All in all, I hope that this is a gentle reminder that you have the freedom within your position to change peoples lives for the better.
